Alice is a South Korean girl pop group, previously known as Elris. Formed by talent agency Hunus Entertainment, the original lineup debuted under the name Elris in 2017. They made a splash with the release of their debut EP We, First (2017). Before this, members Kim So-hee and Min Ka-rin gained mainstream attention after appearing on the reality show K-pop Star 6. Sohee had embarked on a solo career, having released the single "Spotlight" before the formation of the group. After their first EP; the group garnered acclaim and a fanbase, and continued their journey with the release of their second EP Color Crush (2017). This release was preceded by the popular single "Pow Wow," which increased the group's profile. Their third EP, Summer Dream, was released in June 2018 and peaked at number 15 on the Circle Chart. This year marked an important milestone for the group, as they were honored with the Best Rookie (Female) award at the 24th Korean Entertainment Arts Awards. By February 2020, two new members, EJ and Chaejeong, were introduced, leading to the release of their fourth and most popular EP, Jackpot (2020). In December 2021, the group transferred to IOK Company, leading to significant changes in their career, including the rebranding to their new name Alice. Under this new moniker, they released the single "Power of Love," followed by "Dance On." In 2023, the group released the single album Show Down.
