Alice Glass

Alice Glass is the stage name of Canadian singer-songwriter Margaret Osborn, born on August 23, 1988, in Toronto, Ontario. After running away from home at the age of 15, she took the pseudonym Vicki Vale and formed the all-female experimental punk band Fetus Fatale. In 2003, she changed her alias to Alice Glass and founded the electronic music group Crystal Castles with Ethan Kath. In the following years, the group went on to build quite a reputation thanks to a series of albums that combined a lo-fi noise approach with catchy pop hooks and Glass' wild on-stage antics. Following her departure from Crystal Castles in 2014, she released the single "Stillbirth" (2015) in an effort to raise awareness about domestic and sexual abuse. Preceded by the single "Without Love," her eponymous debut EP arrived in 2017 and was followed by a tour with Marilyn Manson. A legal battle ensued later that year when Alice Glass accused former bandmate Ethan Kath of sexual, physical, and mental abuse during her tenure with the group. A collection of remixes of her first extended-play arrived in 2018, followed by the singles "Forgiveness," "Cease and Desist," and "Mine." Her long-awaited studio debut Prey//IV finally appeared in 2022 via her own label Eating Glass Records.
