Alliage

In the mid-1990s, the boy band phenomenon from the USA and England hit France with full force. Each record company set out to create its own male group. Alliage was chosen to embody this mix, with singer-dancers of different origins (including a Corsican, a Spaniard, an Algerian and an Englishman) and songs mixing French with English or Spanish. Formed in 1996, the group enjoyed success in 1997 with "Baïla" and "Te garder près de moi", featuring Boyzone, which became the Irish group's biggest hit in France. In 1997, Alliage, L'Album included all their hits. A second album confirmed the short-lived nature of the group, which broke up in 1999. After a solo album, Quentin Elias died of a heart attack on February 25, 2014.
