Multiple award-winning Indian actor, singer, songwriter, and film producer Amrinder Gill (born May 11, 1976 in Amritsar, Punjab) cut his teeth as a bhangra dancer during his college days before launching a singing career in the late '90s. He recorded his first song, "Sanu Ishq Ho Gaya," in 1999 for TV program Kala Doria. His debut album, Apni Jaan Ke, followed in early 2000, produced by Sukhpal Sukh and released by Goyal Music. His second album, 2002's Ek Vaada, yielded some commercial success in the form of "Je Mile Oh Kudi," but follow-up LP, 2005's Dildarian, went one step further, helping him to break through into the mainstream and acquire three nominations at the 2006 ETC Punjabi Music Awards. Another round of accolades came in 2010, with his fifth studio album, 2008's Ishq, produced by Shinda, reaping several PTC Punjabi Music Award nominations. His seventh studio album, 2011's Judaa, took him to the heights of international fame to scoop the Best Album gong at the Brit Asia Music Awards as well as named Best Romantic Ballad at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards. Two more studio albums followed, 2014's Judaa 2 and 2021's Judaa 3 Chapter 1. Amrinder Gill has also enjoyed a successful acting career, largely in Pollywood, notably seeing his name in lights for 2016 Punjabi film Love Punjab, 2017 Indian-Punjabi drama film Lahoriye, and graduating to production for 2022's Ucha Buraj Lahore Da.
