Austrian clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer (b. 1989) made his debut in Vienna before joining the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as a soloist in 2011. In addition to his family band The Clarinotts, in which he has been a member since 2005, the musician collaborates with Leif Ove Andsnes, Yo-Yo Ma and Tori Amos. In 2013, he signed a solo artist contract with Mercury Records, resulting in the recording of the recital Portraits: The Clarinet Album, released that same year. In 2015, Brahms: The Hungarian Connection, including the Quintet for Clarinet and Strings, was released on Deutsche Grammophon.
