The son of folk artist Red Grammer, Andy Grammer was born in Los Angeles on December 3, 1983. An American pop-rock singer-songwriter, he studied music at university and began busking in Los Angeles. His 2011 self-titled debut album peaked at number one on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart, and the single "Keep Your Head Up" (2011) peaked at number five on the Adult Top 40 and number 21 on the Mainstream Top 40. In 2012, "Fine By Me" peaked at number ten on the Adult Chart, "Miss Me" peaked at number 15, and in 2014, "Back Home" peaked at number 21. In 2015, the album Magazines or Novels peaked at number 19 on the Billboard 200, and the single "Honey, I'm Good" topped the Adult Chart and peaked at number eight on the Mainstream Chart. The single "Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)" reached number 12 on the Adult Chart in 2016, and her third album The Good Parts (2017) reached number 57 on the 200. The track "Fresh Eyes" reached number 9 on the Adult Chart, while "Give Love," featuring LunchMoney Lewis, and "Smoke Clears" (2018) both reached number 13. 2019's Naive followed, featuring collaborations with Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Christian rappers Andy Mineo and Swoope. The album reached number 29 on Billboard, and the track "Don't Give Up on Me" was remixed by R3hab. Further collaborations followed with Cash Cash, Don Diablo, and Fitz and the Tantrums, before a new batch of tracks were recorded during the Monster sessions (2024), including "I Do", with Maddie & Tae.
