Andy Sheppard is a highly regarded jazz saxophonist who has won British Jazz Awards and gained an international reputation playing with many other top artists. He started out in the late 1970s with a group called Sphere and spent time in France before releasing his eponymous debut solo album in 1987. Other albums include 'Soft On the Inside' (1990), 'Rhythm Method' (1993), 'Learning to Wave' (1998), 'Nocturnal Tourist' (2001), 'Movements in Colour' (2009), 'Surrounded By Sea' (2015) and 'Romaria' (2018). He has collaborated with artists such as Steve Lodder, Gil Evans, Laurent Cugny, Trevor Jones and Rita Marcotulli and American jazz star Carla Bley. His 2019 schedule was to include appearances at venues in Tilburg and Utrecht in the Netherlands and Poole in England.
