Danish actress Hanne Karin Bayer, who went by the name Anna Karina, was a major star of French cinema in the 1960s starring in New Wave films by her then husband Jean-Luc Godard and several other top directors. Her iconic film roles include 'Pierrot le Fou' (1965), 'Une Femme est Une Femme' (1961), 'Vivre Sa Vie' (1962) and 'Alphaville' (1965). She sings in the 1967 Pierre Koralnik French television musical comedy 'Anna' appearing with Serge Gainsbourg and Jean-Claude Brialy. Singles included 'Sous le Soleil Exactement' and 'Roller Girl'. She also wrote and directed a musical film titled 'Victoria' in 2008. She died of cancer aged 79 in December 2019.
