Under the name Art d'Ecco lies an undisclosed Canadian musician. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he grew up in Vancouver and pursued various trades alongside his musical hobby, playing in the band Speed to Kill and others, before going solo. Settled in British Columbia, he produced a somewhat unnoticed debut album on his own, Day Fevers (2017), with the help of his smartphone and a piano. He fine-tunes his image and moves towards a musical style rooted in the glam-rock of the early 1970s and the British new wave of the end of the decade. Signed to the independent label Paper Bag Records, he recorded the albums Tresspasser (2018), In Standard Definition (2021) and Afther the Head Rush (2022), which reflect this change of look and music, while at the same time expanding the musician's audience through his social networks. So, after his first chart-topping track in 2021, "Head Rush", Art d'Ecco returned to the Canadian Billboard Top 100 Rock Songs with "I Feel Alive" (2024).
