Born on December 21, 1996 in Algiers (Algeria), Ashe 22, real name Hamza Khadraoui, arrived in France at the age of 10 in the Lyon area. He began rapping in 2017, joining Lyonzon, the city's emblematic rap collective, and quickly made his mark with his deep voice. Gradually, he became one of France's leading drill figures with the successive releases of his mixtapes Ashe Tape Vol.1, Movie Tape and Ashe Tape Vol.2 in 2019. The latter includes a duet with Freeze Corleone, entitled "Scellé", which inspired the two artists to collaborate on a joint project, Riyad Sadio, which saw the light of day in 2022. Accompanied on stage by GG on the turntables and Kpri, a young member of the Lyonzon collective, Ashe 22 gradually built up his audience, eventually releasing his first proper solo album in 2023. Entitled Vingt-deux, it featured no fewer than 19 tracks, including six collaborations with Osirius Jack, Hamza, El Grande Toto, Rim'K, Soolking and Central Cee, and quickly reached number 13 in the French charts. The rapper released a second album in 2023, in December: KH-22 (#8 in France), on which he invited Baby Gang (on the track "Caracas") and Maes (on "Coroner").
