Being the daughter of horror master Dario Argento is not without its perils. The actress and director has inherited a provocative, extrovert and sulphurous personality. She acted for her father in Trauma (1993) and Le Syndrome deStendhal (1996), and for Abel Ferrara in New Rose Hotel (1998). In 2000, she made her film debut with the controversial Scarlet Diva. After becoming an international star with the action film xXx in 2002, Asia Argento went on to shine in Sofia Coppola's Land of the Dead (2005), Marie Antoinette (2006) and Tony Gatlif's Transylvania (2006). A DJ and singer in her spare time, Asia Argento collaborates with Placebo, Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Hector Zazou and Tim Burgess. The result of these various encounters was compiled in 2013 on the album Total Entropy, for a result in the image of the venomous Italian.
