Aupinard, whose real name is Frédéric Opina, is a French singer, songwriter and composer of Congolese origin, born in Bordeaux on December 15, 2001. He discovered the guitar at the age of 12 and was introduced to bossa nova by listening to João Gilberto, a major influence on his musical style. His pseudonym is a contraction of his surname and the word "pinard", in reference to Bordeaux wine. He adopted this nickname, given to him by a friend during his school years. During the confinement of 2020, he develops his artistic identity by fusing bossa nova and RnB, inspired by João Gilberto, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Luidji. Luidji became a mentor after they met in 2022 at a concert at the Olympia. In May 2023, he released aupitape 1: hortensia, a project dedicated to his grandmother. His single"quel type de vibe? " is a big hit, especially on TikTok. After several EPs and a mixtape, in 2025 he unveils his debut album Pluie, montagnes et soleil, where he explores his personal and amorous experiences, notably on the track "penelope".
