Singer-songwriter Aydın Kurtoğlu was born on January 24, 1983, in Rize, Turkey. The son of songwriter / producer / musician Cengiz Kurtoğlu, he moved to Istanbul with his family when he was one year old. After completing high school, he enrolled in college to study business while also working in the tourism sector. After performing with his father in the talent competition Veliaht, he released his first single, “Köle,” in 2014, which was followed by the Hayırlı Günler EP in 2015. That same year, he voiced the character of Grouchy Smurf for the musical Smurfs Live on Stage, which debuted in Dubai in January 2015. Aydın Kurtoğlu continued to release a string of singles including "Öptüm” (2015) and "Yak” (2016). In 2017, he released the album Pişman, which compiled several of his singles and other recordings like “Tüh Tüh” and the title track. He has continued to release a series of singles including “Söz” (2018), “Olay Ne” (2019), "Gururdan Gömlek” (2019), “Zor Sensiz” (2021), and “Ben” (2022).
