Bad Omens are an LA-based American metalcore band whose subtle pairing of screamo’s loud-soft dynamic with a touch of electronica and cinematic ambiance earned them comparisons to established alternative metal acts like Bring Me The Horizon and Periphery. Formed in 2013, the five-piece composed of Noah Sebastian (vocals), Nicholas Ryan (guitar), Vincent Riquier (bass), Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson (guitar), and Nick Folio (drums) released their eponymous studio debut in 2016 via Sumerian Records. Spearheaded by the singles “Exit Wounds” and “The Worst in Me,” the album received rave reviews from critics and peaked at Number 9 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart, securing the band a spot at Sumerian Records’ Ten Years in the Black tour and Vans’ Warped Tour 2017. After a severe back injury precipitated Riquier’s departure in 2018, they followed up with Finding God Before God Finds Me (2019), an ambitious, eclectic-sounding LP that found the band at the peak of their powers. In 2020, Bad Omens released an acoustic version of “Limits,” a song included in the deluxe version of their critically-acclaimed sophomore effort.
