BamBam is a member of the multi-platinum South Korean boy band Got7, as well as a solo artist whose music combines elements of rap and pop. Born as "Kunpimook Bhuwakul" in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 2, 1997, he took an interest in Korean culture after attending a Rain concert as a child. He began training for a career in entertainment and won the Thailand Rain Cover Dance Competition at 10 years old, eventually moving to South Korean three years later to begin working with the talent agency JYP Entertainment. Taking his "BamBam" stage name from a Flintstones character, he joined Got7's lineup in 2013 and appeared on the group's debut EP, Got It?, in 2014. The record peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, laying the foundation for Got7's success in the Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese markets throughout the 2010s. As the group's career progressed, BamBam took an increasingly active role in Got7's songwriting, contributing heavily to releases like Flight Log: Turbulence, Flight Log: Arrival, and 7 for 7. He began releasing solo material with 2017's "Make It Right," a single featuring guests like Jayjay Kritsanapoom and Best Nathasit, and appeared on F. Hero's "Do You" in 2019. One year later, he continued his solo career with the singles "I'm Not A Con-Heartist" (from the Thai movie The Con-Heartist) and "Beat Your Best." The debut album Sour & Sweet was released in 2023 and reached number 3 in South Korea, followed by BAMESIS in 2024.
