Band Ja Naimon! MAXX NAKAYOSHI is a all-girl idol group from Tokyo, Japan. Formed in 2011 by drummers Misako Suzuki (of Shinsei Kamattechan fame) and Saori "Kacchan" Kaneko, the band began performing as a duo with just two drums on stage and released their eponymous mini-album in 2012. The following year, they became a five-piece with the addition of Ramune Mizutama, Ringo Koishio, and Gumi Nanase. Kacchan left Band Ja Naimon! a few months later and was replaced by Miyu Mochizuki as the group scored its first Top 20 entry with the 2013 single "Yuki Furu Yoruni Kisushite." Following Ramune Mizutama's departure in 2014, the band recruited guitarist Yuzu Amane and singer Sunrise Omomoko, who made their official debut on the single "Tsunagaru! Kanaderu!" later that year. Released in 2015, their studio debut Re:start peaked at Number 22 on the Japanese Albums Chart and was followed by the unveiling of the sub-units Chou Chou Cream, Blue Twins, and Cotton Rabbits in 2016. During this time, group moved from Warner Music to Pony Canyon, making their major-label debut with the single "Kimemaster! / Kimochi Dake Sanka Shimasu." Kanpeki Shugi no Sekai ni Fukanzen na Ongaku wo, their sophomore effort, hit the shelves in 2017 and reached Number 4 in Japan largely thanks to the popularity of the Top 10 single "Yakimochi." That year, the mini-album Mini Ban! hit Number 15 on the Oricon charts. Even though they went on hiatus shortly after issuing the full-length NO LIMIT in 2019, Band Ja Naimon! MAXX NAKAYOSHI returned in early 2023 with Kanpekishugi Na Sekai Ni Fukanzen Na Ongakuwo 2, a sequel to their 2017 album that climbed to Number 24 on the Billboard Japan Albums Chart.
