Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga

Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga is an award-winning Regional Mexican music group frorm Mazatlán, Sinaloa. Taking its initials from their hometown, the band was founded in 2003 by brothers Sergio and Alberto Lizárraga and made their debut in 2004 with the album No Podrás. One of its founding members, singer Julión Álvarez, served as the group’s main vocalist until 2007 when he embarked on a highly successful solo career. His spot was filled by Oswaldo Silva and Alan Ramírez. Throughout their prolific career, they have released a handful of classic banda albums such as Mi Mayor Anhelo (2005), Escuela de Rancho (2008), and Mi Razón de Ser (2012). In 2016, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga received a Monitor Latino award for their single “Solo Con Verte,” which remained atop of the chart for twelve consecutive weeks. That same year, their album Qué Bendición reached Number 1 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart, earning them a plethora of awards including Artist of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards and Latin Album of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2017. 2021 found the band crossing over into the American market with the single “Qué Maldición,” which spawned a remix featuring American rapper Snoop Dogg and singer Becky G. The album Positivo hit the shelves later that year, followed by Punto y Aparte (2022) and MS 20 Años (2023), featuring re-recordings of some of their most popular songs. Simultaneously, Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga collaborated with the up-and-coming US Regional Mexican act Yahritza y Su Esencia on the 2023 track "Solo Que Lo Dudes."
