Betty Booom

Hailing from Cape Town in South Africa, DJ and producer Betty Booom specializes in electro-swing, giving an electronic twist to classics from different eras. After a first single in the form of a calling card, "Betty Boop" (2020) and a cover of "Bella Ciao", she multiplied her EPs with remixes of "Wellerman", concocted with Ashley Slater, "Billie Jean", "Puttin' on the Ritz" and "Spooky Scary Skeletons", which since its release in 2021 has become a staple of Halloween parties. Seizing on old vocal jazz standards as well as more recent global hits, Betty Booom continued with "Mr. Sandman" (2021), "The Beat Goes On" (2022), "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" (2022), "Hit the Road Jack" (2022), "Black Betty" (2023) and "We No Speak Americano" (2024). In 2024, the Booombastic album featured seventeen versions of his best songs.
