Bévinda

Born in Portugal in 1961, singer Bévinda grew up in France, where she developed a passion for the chanson repertoire before turning to fado with her debut album Fatum in 1994. Her style, imbued with the music of the world, particularly Asia, and with readings by the writer Fernando Pessoa(Pessoa em Pessoas, 1997), has led to a series of world-fado albums. An interlude dedicated to Serge Gainsbourg in 2006(Gainsbourg Tel Qu'elle) is followed by a trilogy including a show(Opium à bord), a children's story(Billes de Gum) and the album Lusitania (2011).
