British blues and rock supergroup Black Eyed Sons was formed in 2024 by former members of Quireboys and Down n' Outz. Bringing together singer and guitarist Guy Griffin, guitarist Paul Guerin, keyboardist Keith Weir and a rhythm section consisting of brothers Nick Malling (bass) and Pip Malling (drums), the London-based outfit went into the studio to work on an album provisionally named The Band Rolls On, for which the musicians opened their address books and contacted Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Chip Z'Nuff (Enuff Z'Nuff), Josh Todd and Stevie D (Buckcherry), Chris Johnstone (Quireboys, Thirsty), Dan Reed (Dan Reed Network), Scotti Hill (Skid Row), Steve Conte and Kyf Brewer (Company of Wolves), Alan Clayton (The Dirty Strangers) and Alice Cooper's accompanist Ryan Roxie. The result, released in January 2025 on the Off Yer Rocka label, is Cowboys in Pinstriped Suits, while the band's name comes from that of a Quireboys album released in 2014.
