Born in 1945, Ritchie Blackmore is known as the flamboyant, megalomaniac guitarist of Deep Purple and Rainbow. Now grown up and in love, he and his wife Candice Night form Blackmore's Night. Both devotees of the Renaissance period, they and their band create a singular universe of baroque and medieval inspiration. While their debut album Shadow of the Moon (1997) didn't cause much of a stir, Blackmore's Night has been popular in Germany since Ghost of a Rose (2003). In 2008, the year of the couple's wedding, the album Secret Voyage continues to explore their fantastical, poetic universe. The adventure continues with the albums Autumn Sky (2010), Dancer and the Moon (2013) and All Our Yesterdays (2015). In 2017, all the albums from the Blackmore's Night period were brought together in a compilation entitled To the Moon and Back - 20 Years and Beyond...
