Boro Sanguy, stage name of Koudougnon Balet Richard, is part of the vast coupé-décalé movement that marked the Ivorian music scene in the early 2000s. A member of the Jet Set collective, created in Paris around Lino Versace, Molaré and Douk Saga, Boro Sanguy is best known for the duo he forms with Versace. Versace and Sanguy released their first album, Mastiboulance, in 2005, and were at the heart of the many productions of the time. In it, they recount the life of the collective ("La Jet"), which was shaken by Douk Saga's untimely death in 2006. Despite his involvement in the milieu, his life, which oscillates between Paris and Abidjan, places him between two waters: on the one hand, composing and, on the other, competing fiercely with the many DJs in Abidjan's maquis. Although he keeps a lower profile than other members of the Jet Set, Boro Sanguy is nevertheless making his mark on the coupé-décalé scene with tracks such as "SOUKi LANGAi ", unveiled in 2015.
