Christian singer/songwriter Branan Murphy was born August 13, 1986 in Augusta, Georgia. As a boy and teen he performed regularly at his church. He released work independently until his 2011 mixtape SMPLFY caught the ear of Sony/Provident’s Essential Records with whom he signed his first recording contract. His initial singles, “All the Wrong Things” and “Enough” both went top 40 on Billboard Christian charts in 2017. Both of those tracks appeared on his self-titled 2018 EP that also contained another top 40 hit on multiple Christian music tracks, “Talk About It”. He dropped his debut album, Who Am I?, in 2019, and scored his fourth top 10 Christian Radio hit with “Coming Home”. The album showcased his musical versatility, jumping between pop and hip-hop, and even displayed his rapping skills. He returned to the Christian Airplay charts with the 2021 single “This World Is Not My Home”, which was the title track for his new album.
