Bushido

Bushido, whose real name is Anis Mohamed Youssef Ferchichi, is a German rapper born in Bonn on September 28, 1978. Raised by a German mother and a Tunisian father, he was inspired by the gangsta rap style, and has been extremely popular in his homeland since the mid-2000s. Delinquent as a teenager, he dropped out of school and avoided prison by training as a varnish painter. He quickly got into rap, signing with the Aggro Berlin label in 2001 following the independent success of his debut album King of KingZz the same year, which was subsequently accompanied by new versions. After an album under the name Sonny Black with Fler (2002), Bushido recorded Vom Borstein Bis Zur Skyline (2003), featuring the track "Bei Nacht" and the controversial song "Berlin", described as homophobic. In 2004, Electro Ghetto was released on the Urban label, reaching No. 6 in the charts. He returned the following year to follow up the Sonny Black character with Baba Saad. Winner of several Echo Awards, the rapper scored another success with the album Von der Skyline zum Bordstein Zürück and published his autobiography, which reached No. 1 in sales in 2008, before the release of his new album Heavy Metal Payback. After his reconciliation with Fler on the third volume of Sonny Black, Bushido appears in a biopic to his glory, Zeiten Ändern Dich (2010), directed by Uli Edel, giving rise to a homonymous soundtrack. On Jenseits von Gut und Böse (2011), he invited Booba, then released AMYF (2012), with a DVD, which reached number one in German sales. In 2014, he titled his eleventh album Sonny Black, and the next one Carlo Cokxxx Nutten 3 (2015), which until then had been the title of the series of albums produced under the name Sonny Black. A highly controversial rapper in his homeland, Bushido subsequently recorded Black Friday (2017) and Mythos (2018), with consistent success as they both topped the charts. After the 2021 release of Sonny Black II (#2), König für Immer followed in 2024, also ranked #2, and the Hemp Wraps n Shake EP, under the Sonny Black name.
