UK rapper Cadet (born Blaine Johnson) emerged onto the London grime scene and in 2018 released 'Advice', a track which featured Deno Driz on vocals and topped the UK Independent Singles Breakers Chart a month after its release. Things seemed to be going well for the young Londoner who had been trying to launch his solo career after initially becoming known as an associate of Krept and Konan in their Gypset Crew project. The Gypset Crew had a considerable presence on social media and had built up a large following for their music, leading Cadet to take the next step in launching his solo career. Despite a promising future, in February 2019 his life was cut short, putting a tragic end to a career about to take off. Cadet's untimely death created a lot of interest in his previously released material and 'Advice' had a second lease of life when it posthumously reached number 14 in the UK charts.
