Norwegian author, composer and singer Camilla Norderud, known as Camilla North, was born in Bergen in 1984. She studied music at Langhaugen and obtained a master's degree in composition at the University of Bath, England. After winning the Battle of the Vox competition in England and iLod in Norway, she composed the song "Déja vu" for the Korean k-pop group F(x) on their hit album 4 Walls (2015). Previously, in 2008, she produced her debut album Camilla on her own label and followed this up with the EP Dumb (2010), before returning to composing for other artists or the German version of the TV show The Voice. She also devotes her time to setting up her own music school, Camilla North's Music School, then returns to songwriting with the Carry Me Home EP (2019) and English-language dance pop tracks such as "Amazing" (2020), "Peace of Mind" (2021) and "In Love with Me" (2022). In 2024, she performs the hit "Lykkelig i Stille Regn" in her native language , reaching No. 5 in the Norwegian radio charts.
