Can Bonomo (May 16, 1987) is a Turkish singer and actor of Sephardic Jewish descent, better known for representing Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. Born in the city of İzmir, he moved to Istanbul at the age of 17 to study TV and cinema at the Istanbul Bilgi University, where he became a renowned radio host. Shortly after releasing his debut album Meczup (2011), Can Bonomo was selected to represent Turkey at the 57th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The song “Love Me Back,” written by Can Bonomo himself and produced by Can Saban, made it to the grand finale and finished in seventh place. It was also released as a single, reaching Number 2 on the Turkish charts. He followed this success with the albums Aşktan Ve Gariplikten (2012), Bulunmam Gerek (2014), Kâinat Sustu (2017), and Ruhum Bela (2019). In 2021, Can Bonomo teamed up with actress Demet Evgar for the single “Rüyamda Buluttum,” which went to Number 27 on the Turkish Top 100. Apart from his music career, he is also an accomplished poet, publishing his first poetry book Delirmek Belirmekt in 2014.
