Carly Paoli is a British classical crossover singer born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, on January 28, 1989. Taking her Italian origins from her mother, who instilled in her a love of opera singing and gave her lessons, she attended an art school in Southwell, then Chesterfield and Tring Park School, where she also trained in drama and stagecraft. Awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music, she performed at galas including the International Women's Media Foundation Awards in Los Angeles, then in 2015 at Windsor Castle, where she performed a duet with José Carreras in front of the Prince of Wales and at Saint Jame's Palace. In 2016, she sang theAve Maria for Pope Francis' jubilee, among other performances on stage, on TV at the Classical Brit for her nomination in 2019, or at the Royal Variety Performance in 2021. On the Abiah Records label, she records the albums Singing My Dreams (2017), arranged and produced by Romano Musumarra, followed by Live at Cadogan Hall (2018), Due Anime (2019) and Carly Paoli & Friends (2021), featuring contributions from The Tenors, Elaine Page, Vincent Niclo, Joseph Calleja, Paul Carrack, Aled Jones and Tony Hadley. After The Movie Collection (2023), The Christmas Collection is released in 2024.
