Cédric Vieno

Born in Robertville, New Brunswick, Cédric Vieno is a Canadian folk singer who is as interested in poetry as he is in activism, denouncing through his music. In 2010, he won a SOCAN award at the Gala de la chanson de Caraquet, and the following year, an award at the Festival international de la chanson de Granby. He released his debut album, Northshore Love Stories, in 2012. He subsequently performed in New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and France. In 2014, he released his second album, Maquiller l'Âne . This earned him the Prix MNB Awards for Francophone Album of the Year and Song of the Year with " Une Seconde ". He releases the opus L'Autopsie d'un Peureux in February 2017. Following his fourth album, Maltempête , released in 2020, he won the Song of the Year category at the MNB Awards the following year with " Laisse tomber ".
