Danny Boudreau

Danny Boudreau is an Acadian singer-songwriter, born March 18, 1967 in Pointe-Verte, New Brunswick, Canada. From the age of 7, he sang country songs in bars with his father. His father's love of the country music of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash had a major impact on Danny's life. In 2000, he released the album Odyssée, which earned him several nominations, including Male Artist of the Year at the Gala des Étoiles. In 2001, at the Prix Rideau-Acadie awards, he received the Prix Arrimage Québec-Acadie. In 2007, he received the Prix SOCAN for the song " Avec toi ", in collaboration with Wilfred Lebouthillier. Over the years, he has garnered numerous nominations, reaching the TOP 10 of the charts on several occasions. These include the song "Le vieux matelot " in 2015. He has written songs for artists such as Patrick Norman, Annie Blanchard, Wilfred Le Bouthillier, Jean-François Breau and Laurence Jalbert. From 2000 to 2020, he released 10 albums, including Danny Party, which won Album of the Year at the Prix Musique NB. In 2020, he won Song of the Year at the Gala Country with " La Gibson de mon père ", performed by Patrick Norman. In addition to his solo career, he has been a member of the duo Beausejour with Jocelyne Barribeau and the band Les gars du nord with Wilfred LeBouthillier, Jean-Marc Couture and Maxime Mc Graw.
