Cesare Cremonini

Born in Bologna on March 27, 1980, Cesare Cremonini made a name for himself as singer and pianist with the Italian pop group Lunapop, of which he was leader and principal composer between 1999 and 2002. When the group disbanded, he embarked on a successful solo career, in which he was joined by guitarist Nicola Balestri and a number of new musicians. This trajectory is marked by numerous successes, starting with the album Bagus and its five chart-topping tracks, including "Vieni a Vedere Perché " (No. 3), followed three years later by Maggese (2005), recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and featuring the hit "Marmellata #25 " (No. 11). 2006 saw the release of the live album 1+8+24. Two years later, his third studio album Il Primo Baccio Sulla Luna is certified gold, and includes the track "Dicono di Me" (no. 10). The compilation 1999-2010: The Greatest Hits, featuring his most important group and solo tracks, was followed in 2012 by the album La Teoria dei Colori, which reached No.2 in the Italian sales charts. Its successor, the album Logico (2014) is that of his first number one on the sales charts. It includes the hit "Logico #1" (#4). Following a tour, the live album Piu Che Logico (2015) is released, reaching #2. In 2017, Cesare Cremonini returns to the top of the Italian charts with the original album Possibli Scenari, certified double platinum, from which the track "Poetica" (#2) is taken, following a duet with Massena Boys ("Nessuno Vuole essere Robin",#2). 2019 sees the release of the 2C2C compilation (no.1 in sales), which brings the hit "Al Telefono".
