Cha Eun-woo is the pseudonym of South Korean singer, actor, and model Lee Dong-min (March 30, 1997), who rose to fame as a member of the boy group Astro. Born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, Cha Eun-woo made his acting debut with a minor role in the 2014 feature film My Brilliant before he even graduated from the Hanlim Multi Art School in 2016. That same year, he also debuted as a singer on Astro’s first couple of EPs - Spring Up, Summer Vibes, and Autumn Story - all of which managed to break into the Top 10 on the Gaon Albums Chart and even charted in the US. After reaching the top of the South Korean charts with Astro’s Dream Part.01 EP (2017), Cha Eunwoo resumed his acting career on the dramas Hit the Top and Sweet Revenge. In 2018, he starred in the web drama Top Management and landed his first leading role on the rom-com Gangnam Beauty, lending his voice to the single “Rainbow Falling,” included in the series’ original soundtrack. As Astro continued to dominate the South Korean charts, Cha Eun-woo further boosted his profile with the single “Please Remember,” featured on the soundtrack of the 2019 historical drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, a show he also starred in. Subsequently, “Love So Fine” (2021), included in the soundtrack of TVN’s True Beauty, became Eun-woo’s first charting single as a solo artist, reaching number 165 on the Korean Singles Chart and number 19 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales. In 2023, he starred in the drama A Good Day to Be a Dog, also contributing to its original soundtrack with a remake of "Jealousy." A few months later, Cha Eun-woo became the first artist to receive the Global Icon Award at the 2023 VMAs Japan. Entity, his debut EP, came out in 2024 and peaked at number 23 on the Japanese Top 100.
