Chae Eunjung

Chae Eunjung (채은정), also known as Enjel (엔젤) and EJ (恩真), is a South Korean singer who made her solo debut on February 26, 2007, with the studio album My Name Is Enjel. After leaving the girl group CLEO in 2003, she pursued a solo career, first contributing the song "Romantic Love" to the Lovers in Paris OST in 2004. Her solo album featured a fresh pop sound, but despite her efforts, it failed to gain mainstream success. She later released singles like "Out" and "바보야" in 2007, followed by "3! 4!" and "I Miss You" in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Struggling to establish herself as a solo artist, Chae Eunjung left the entertainment industry in 2009 to work as a medical tourism coordinator. However, she remained involved in various industries, including fashion and modeling. After years away from music, she made a comeback on June 21, 2022, with the EP Whi Hu Hu Hu, marking her return after 13 years. Her solo career, though sporadic, reflects her resilience and passion for music. In 2023, she announced CLEO’s reformation under StarMade Entertainment, balancing her solo endeavors with a renewed group career.
