Chagrin d'Amour's career is above all about "Chacun fait (c'qui lui plaît)". This rap-style song was a first in France in 1981. The sublime lyrics, set to a danceable rhythm, quickly invaded radio stations, dance floors and, ultimately, the collective unconscious. "Chacun fait (c'qui lui plaît)" leapt across borders, with several versions, including a Japanese version in 2007. Chagrin d'Amour emporté dans la tourmente did not repeat this extraordinary success and quickly disappeared from the musical landscape.
