Chapa & Castelo, the Argentine electronic duo composed of Joaquín Ruiz and Federico Castelo, have been reshaping the Latin American dance music scene since their official debut in 2015. Lifelong friends united by a shared passion for rock & roll, they later found their creative home in electronic music, blending genres like rock, disco, jazz, and funk with house beats designed for dancefloors. Known for their use of analog instruments, their music exudes a lively, springlike energy that transcends traditional electronic sounds. The duo gained widespread acclaim in 2024 with their hit "Lento," a collaboration with C.R.O., and further showcased their artistic vision with the instrumental house EP Smoothy, which encapsulates their signature fusion of organic and electronic elements. Chapa & Castelo also founded La Juanita Records, a label dedicated to elevating Argentina’s electronic talent on the global stage. Their music has taken them to countries like Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and Germany, among others, solidifying their international presence. In June 2024, they marked a career milestone with a debut performance at Buenos Aires' iconic Estadio Luna Park, a testament to their influence and success within the electronic music landscape.
