Chino Pacas, born Cristian Humberto Ávila Vega on October 18, 2006, in Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico, is a Regional Mexican music singer-songwriter, known for his urban sierreño style. His musical journey began in his school’s rondalla group playing guitar, although his singing talent first emerged in a church choir due to his initial shyness. At 12, he moved with his family to Tampa, Florida, where he worked in construction before diving into music full-time. Chino Pacas gained international recognition in 2023 with his debut single "El Gordo Trae El Mando," released under the Street Mob label. The track made waves, debuting at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the youngest Mexican artist to enter the chart at just 16 years old. That same year, he collaborated on the hit "Qué Onda" with Calle 24 and Fuerza Regida, earning him another spot on the Billboard chart. He continued his momentum with the singles "Que Sigan Llegando las Pacas" and the fiery "Como Pancho Villa," showcasing his deep voice and modern twist on traditional sounds. In September 2023, he was nominated for Artist of the Year – Debut at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, solidifying his place as a fresh voice in the genre. 2024 saw the release of his debut album Que Sigan Llegando las Pacas, which featured contributions from Fuerza Regida, Gabito Ballesteros, and Drake, among others.
