Chloe Chua

Singapore-born violinist Chloe Chua won numerous awards before her recording career began. Born on January 7, 2007, she took up the piano at the age of two, then the violin at the age of four, with her mother, a music teacher. Enrolled at the Nanyang Academy, she won several violin competitions in Thailand and Singapore, followed by 3rd prize at the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition in China in 2017, 1st prize at the Andrea Postacchini Competition in Fermo (Italy) and 1st prize junior division at the Singapore National Piano and Violin Competition. In 2018, Chloe Chua was awarded 1st prize in the junior category at the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition, tied with Christian Li. The Singaporean violinist, who performs on numerous stages around the world, signs with the Pentatone label for the recording of her first recital, featuring the complete concertos of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Op. 8 and Locatelli's Violin Concerto No. 12 Op. 3. In 2024, the following collection Butterfly Lovers & Paganini pairs Chen Gang and He Zhanhao's Violin Concerto "Les Amants papillons" with Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1, recorded with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rodolfo Barraez and Mario Venzago. The album reaches number 34 in the UK classical music charts.
