Chris Avantgarde

Born Christian Vornweg in 1992 in Arnsberg, Germany, the classically trained electronic producer and composer known as Chris Avantgarde started his journey as a jazz pianist before cutting his teeth as a co-writer and co-producer for Scooter. Turning his focus to production, he moved to London and began putting out releases for respected dance imprints like Kontor Records, Steve Angello's SIZE Records, Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird Records, and Interscope Records/Insomniac. He launched his own label VNTGRD in 2014 and has used it as a vehicle for his own tech-house productions (2018's "True Love") as well as other artists' work. He has also racked up remix credits for artists such as The Prodigy and Billie Eilish. Also forging a successful career in sync, he has contributed music to TV shows and films such as Birds of Prey, McMillions and others. In 2024, he found renewed global chart success with his viral hit 2020 track "Inside" featuring Red Rosamond, which appeared on the third season (episode three) of Netflix's DARK.
