Winner of the 12th season of The Voice, Chris Blue was born in Glendale, Arizona, on January 15, 1990. Born into a family of seven children, he began singing in church and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he studied theology. Appointed pastor at the Methodist church in Cokesbury, he eventually turned to singing, forming a vocal group called The Blues Brothers with his siblings. After winning a contest in Knoxville in 2015, he auditioned for the twelfth season of The Voice, which he won in 2017. Since then, Chris Blue has pursued a musical career between R&B, soul and contemporary gospel with the albums Fresh Start (2019), One Light (2019) and Foundations: The Hymns of My Heart (2024).
