Cinema Staff are a Japanese alternative rock band founded in 2006 in Gifu Prefecture. Known for their energetic sound and emotionally charged lyrics, the four-piece group blend elements of indie- rock, post-punk, and emo. The group comprises guitarist Tomotaka Tsuji, singer and guitarist Mizuki Iida, bassist Sohei Mishima, and drummer Yohei Kuno. They first gained attention in 2008 with their debut mini-album, document, following it up with full-length LP Cinema Staff (2011) and their major-label debut, the into the green EP (2012), establishing their reputation within Japan's indie rock scene. Over the years, Cinema Staff have also become recognised for their contributions to anime soundtracks while their music continues to evolve with further releases such as their Solution EP (2015) and seventh offering With Love from the Bottom of the Sea (2021). 2024 saw the arrival of several new singles including "Birthday's eve" and "PLEXI HI."
