Ame_no_Parade (translation: parade of rain) are a Japanese indie rock band formed in Kagoshima in 2013. Taking a combined visual and musical approach, the initial line-up of the band included a painter, a jewellery designer and a costume designer. Their first EP 'Petrichor' was self-released in 2013. The band then signed with the Japanese indie record label Zankyo Records to release the EPs 'Sense' (2014) and 'New Place' (2015). Moving on to Speedstar Records, the band released their debut album 'New Generation' in 2016. The video for lead single 'Tokyo' featured singer Kohei Fukunaga walking around the neon-lit city and was nominated for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards Japan. In 2017, the band released the album 'Change Your Pops', preceded by the singles 'Change Your Mind' and 'You' and the EP 'Stage' (2016). This album was followed by the EP 'Shoes' (2017). In January 2018, creative differences led to the departure of bassist Ryosuke Korenaga, who was replaced by Koei Nagai for live shows. Later that year the band released their third studio album 'Reason of Black Colour' (2018), featuring a more synth-driven electronic sound. In 2019, Ame_no_Parade released the single 'Ahead Ahead', their first track written after the departure of their bassist.
