[Alexandros] are a J-pop band formed in 2007 in Tokyo using the name Champagne with singer and guitarist Yoohei Kawakami, guitarist Masaki Shirai, bassist Hiroyuki and drummer Hiroki Ishikawa, who was succeeded in 2010 by Satoyasu Shomura. They switched their name to [Alexandros] in 2014 after a complaint from the sparkling wine distributor. As Champagne, they released albums titled 'Where's My Potato?' (2010), 'I Wanna Go to Hawaii' (2011), 'Schwarzenegger' (2012) and 'Me No Do Karate' (2013). Their debut album as [Alexandros], 'AXLD' (2015) reached number two on the Japan albums chart and 'EXIST!' (2016) topped the chart. Hit singles include 'Wataridori' and 'Swan' and in 2019 they released the single 'Pray', which features on the soundtrack of the Japanese release of the feature film 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' due out in May of the same year. They also were to continue their 2019 'Sleepless in Brooklyn' tour in support of their latest album of the same name with appearances at venues in Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong as well as several in Japan.
