Shishamo are an all-female J-pop band from Japan formed in 2012 in Kawasaki by former school friends vocalist and guitarist Asako Miyazaki, drummer Misaki Yoshikawa and bassist Aya Matsumoto, who left in 2014 to be succeeded by Aya Matsuoka. They released a singles compilation, 'Sotsugyo Seisaku', in 2013 and toured the nation. Their self-titled debut album also came out in 2013 and four more volumes have had growing success with 'Shishamo 5' (2018) reaching number three on the Japan albums chart. The track 'Bye Bye' went to number 27 on Billboard's Japan Hot 100 and 'Mizuiro no Hibi' reached number 15. Their 2019 single 'Oh!' peaked at number 31 on the Japan singles chart. Their 2019 schedule was to include appearances across Japan including the Dead Pop Festival in Kawasaki and the Wild Bunch Fest in Yamaguchi.
