Clasiqueros, an Argentine cumbia group, was founded in the summer of 2004 by Ricardo Banjay with the vision of reviving beloved hits from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, blending them with Latin tropical rhythms while preserving their original arrangements and messages. The band quickly gained popularity across Argentina, captivating audiences from all corners of the country. Over time, Clasiqueros evolved their sound, exploring Latin dance influences before undergoing a major revival in 2016. That year, Onnix Entertainment Group and Christian Manzanelli acquired the rights to the brand and reintroduced Clasiqueros with a fresh lineup featuring Adriel Montanari, Meli de Piano, and Yami Safdie. The trio brought a renewed energy to the group, maintaining their commitment to the classics while delivering a contemporary twist to timeless hits. Embracing the motto "Los Clásicos No Mueren" (Classics Never Die), Clasiqueros continues to honor their roots while reinvigorating the cumbia scene with their vibrant performances and unforgettable renditions of iconic songs.
