Founder of the famous Buddha Bar, a mecca for lounge attitude, Claude Challe also brings the ambience of his establishment to life with the Buddha Bar compilation series. Starting out as a hairdresser, Claude Challe traveled in the wake of the great hippie migrations, before returning to Paris to host various clubs. Buddha Bar, Vol. 1 was released in 1999, and was initially a Parisian phenomenon, before spreading throughout France and abroad with the development of lounge fashion. Buddha Bar, Vol.XI was released in March 2009, while Claude Challe continued to spread his concept with other series such as Nirvana Lounge. Now mixed by DJ Ravin, the Buddha Bar series goes Roman in 2010 with Buddha Bar XII.
