In 2016, Clément Verzi made a name for himself on the fifth season of The Voice, la plus belle voix, making it all the way to the final. The Breton singer, originally from Saint-Malo, has been practicing at the microphone since the age of six, when he joined a local choir. As a teenager, he formed a rock band, which he led for eight years, before embarking on a solo career. He performed his own compositions for two years in the subway, before trying his luck on television at the age of thirty-five. This late consecration materialized with the recording of a first album of the same name, produced by Olivier Shultheis. In this inaugural collection, Clément Verzi chooses to cover songs that have marked his career on the show, including "Pour me comprendre" by Michel Berger, "Un homme heureux" by William Sheller and "J'envoie valser" by his "godmother" on The Voice, Zazie, as well as three English-language tracks: "I Follow Rivers" by Lykke Li, "You Are So Beautiful" popularized by Joe Cocker and "Lean On" by Major Lazer and DJ Snake.
