Silvano Albanese (July 11, 1983), professionally known as Coez, is a multi-faceted Italian singer and rapper. His career started firstly as part of the hip-hop group Circolo Viziosi, and then continued with Brokenspeakers, joining forces with Luca and Bruno Cannavicci. The band's highlights included supporting acts such as Busta Rhymes. Alongside this, he pursued a solo career, releasing his first album Figlio di Nessuno in 2009. In 2011, he released a collaborative mixtape with DJ Sine entitled Fenomeno. Coez gained mainstream success in 2013 with the release of the single “Nella Casa,” followed by the album Non Erano Fiori, which went to the Top 10 on the Italian Album Charts. The single “La Rabbia dei Secondi” was also released and he played the Rome Music Summer Festival in the same year, to popular acclaim. Third album Niente Che Non Va reached Number 2 on the Italian Album Charts in 2015. This was followed by EP From the Rooftop in 2016, and Faccio un Casino in 2017. The latter reached Number 2 on the Italian Album Charts and was nominated for the Independent Music Companies Association (IMPALA) European Album of the Year. From this album, the title track reached the Top 10 of the Italian Singles Charts, and the single “La Musica Non C'è” gave him his first Number 1 hit. Coez went from strength to strength in 2019 with the release of the album È Sempre Bello, which quickly hit the Number 1 spot on the Italian Albums Charts, with the title track also reaching Number 1 on the singles chart. In 2021, Coez cracked the Top 5 in Italy once again with the non-album single "Come Nelle Canzoni.”
