Along with Dee Nasty, Cut Killer is one of the figures who popularized rap in France. Initially an enthusiastic Radio 7 listener himself, he chose the turntables as his means of expression. His Cut Killer Show on Radio Nova became the benchmark show for hip-hop fans. His shows soon gave rise to compilations, with Opération Freestyle in 1998 reaching No. 6 on the Top album chart. More than a name, Cut Killer has become a brand, while retaining a rare and beneficial integrity.
