Dafné Kritharas

Born in 1992 to a Greek father and French mother, Dafné Kritharas grew up near Paris after her father's tragic loss at sea during her childhood. Inspired by the blend of Eastern and Western traditions, she sings in Greek, Ladino, Bosnian, Armenian, and Turkish. Her debut album Djoyas de Mar (2018) showcased Greek and Judeo-Spanish songs and was accompanied by celebrated performances in Paris. In 2020, she won the Diaspora Music Awards - Prix des Musiques d'Ici. Her second album, Varka (2021), further cemented her acclaim, earning her the Prix de l'Académie Charles-Cros in 2022.
