Daisybox's laudable aim is to make rock in French, not French rock. Inspired by Blur, The Dandy Warhols and Placebo, the Nicolas brothers, who founded the band in 1994, only arrived in France as teenagers. From Indessa, a self-produced mini-album released in 1999, the band has been a hit with the public. Their highly polished pop rock became increasingly convincing, and Diagnostic in 2005 enabled them to tour France and Europe. However, Polyester, released on May 20 2008, seems to mark a halt in Daisybox's forward march.
